The International Organization for Standardization (ISO) is an international committee from various nations that deal with global standards. Founded in 1947, the organization has published over 22,000 standards worldwide that pertains to nearly every industry.

Why Use a Standard Test Method?

Testing per ISO is performed for multiple reasons including engineering design and development, confirmation of internal quality assurance, comparison of materials, and to provide a path for first time test developers with a supported standard.
