What Is the Purpose of Foam Testing?

The purpose of foam testing is to determine the behavior or response of a foam material while it experiences a compressive load by measuring fundamental variables, such as, strain, stress, and deformation. By testing a material in compression, the relevant mechanical material properties can be determined. The test results can help in R&D foam development and in Quality Control to monitor production processes or incoming vendor supplied raw materials.
