The 810-22675 servocontrolled ankle foot simulator performs cyclic fatigue tests for external lower limb prosthetic devices, including realistic simulation of loading conditions of the complete stance phase of walking from heel stroke to toe-off. The system also performs static ultimate strength tests such as proof tests and ultimate strength tests involving heel and forefoot forces at lines of action conforming to those that occur at the instants of maximum heel and forefoot loading during the cyclic test. 810L-22675 consists of an advanced two axis simulator with two servocontrolled actuators and control system, special software and proprietary sample tilt platform. It includes two separate all-electric servocontrolled actuators including one axial load channel operating in load limited position control, and a second actuator featuring foot tilt platform channel operating in angular position control over a 60 degree range of motion (-20 to +40 degree). The table can be locked for static tests. Electrodynamic actuators eliminate the problems of hydraulic powered systems. Test speed is adjustable and the system is designed for continuous 24 hour testing, even days per week.
