GISO14130-884 test fixture meets ISO 14130 requirements for parallel loading of the specimen. GISO14130-884 is a specially constructed shear fixture that consists of a rectangular bar with two supports on which the sample is placed with the loading member midway between the supports. The guided upper anvil helps ensure parallel loading of the specimen. ISO 14130 has a small test span. The specimen thickness ratio encourages interlaminar shear failure. The level of shear stress relative to the flexural stress is modified.

ISO EN DIN 14130 is a short beam interlaminar shear strength test of fiber reinforced composites. ISO 14130 tests the shear strength of fiber reinforced plastic composites. It determines the apparent interlaminar shear strength by the short beam method. ISO 14130 is similar to ISO 14125 but with a smaller test span/specimen thickness ratio which is used to increase shear stress relative to flexural stress to encourage interlaminar shear failure.
