Universal electro-mechanical test machines are excellent for performing a wide variety of quasi-static tension and compression tests. Our universal testing machines, or UTMs, are modular with several computerized controllers and a stand alone controller available. Our universal testing machines, or UTMs, are configured to match your special needs by an applications engineer who configures it for you. The load frame style and force rating is selected and a controller chosen. Our universal testing machines, or UTMs are configured to test space, test speed, and force requirements. One or more load cells are selected and mounted to the crosshead to match to test resolution needs. The controller selected to match expectations regarding test setup, data capture, monitoring, analysis and test reporting. Optional accessories such as grips, fixtures, chambers and high travel extensometers are matched to your test and sample geometries. Our universal testing machines, or UTMs feature robust high quality dual column ball screws rated for full scale loading. The frame options include extended columns and wide width versions made-to-order. A high resolution digital encoder measures and control crosshead travel, speed and position. Servomotors deliver rated forces and test speeds. Machine couplers enable the grips or fixtures to be match the machine.

The 100 Series modular, or lego-like design approach enables our application engineer to configure test machines to match your exact needs and preferences at loads up to 1500 lbf (6 kN).
