High Temperature Axial Extensometer - Self Supporting | E3448
OVERVIEW
The E3448 features a self supporting design ideal for use with induction heaters and high temperature furnaces. The E3448 high temperature extensometer tests metals, ceramics, and composites at high temperatures. These extensometers are easier to use and better in performance than other similar high temperature extensometers.

Product Features

  • Full bridge, 350 ohm strain gaged design for compatibility with nearly any test system.
  • All standard units meet existing ASTM class B-1 and ISO 9513, class 0,5 requirements for accuracy.
  • The units are held on the specimen by light, flexible ceramic fiber cords. These make the extensometer self-supporting on the specimen.
  • Rugged, dual flexure design for strength and improved performance.
  • Easier to use and better in performance than other similar high temperature extensometers.
  • Mechanical overtravel stops in both directions.
