Fatigue Testing Equipment & Machines
Fatigue testing helps determine how a test sample geometry or material will perform in actual use. Most fatigue tests repeat the application of loads (load or stress control) repeated millions of cycles. In many engineering applications, end products or materials are subjected to vibrational or oscillatory forces and its important to predict and prove fatigue life, or cycles to failure under loading conditions.

The number of different fatigue testing protocols is as wide and varied as the number of different materials and their applications. Metals testing has a long history of fatigue testing and the most work done in fatigue characterization -- Low Cycle Fatigue (LCF), High Cycle Fatigue (HCF), and Random Spectrum tests are most common. Medical devices for orthopedic and intravascular use are also widely used to confirm a product is designed properly.
