ASTM C 203 (C-203) determines the breaking load and calculated flexural strength of a rectangular cross section of a preformed block-type thermal insulation tested as a simple beam and is also applicable to celluar plastics. This test method covers procedures for a loading system with center loading on a simply supported beam and for a loading system with two equally spaced symmetric load points. These test methods are useful for testing for the modulus of rupture or the breaking load, the elastic modulus in bending, and the flexural strength.
