Environmental chambers are application engineered for integration into load frames that are used for materials testing and component testing applications. These chambers are accompanied with a broad set of accessories including tensile grips, test fixtures and extensometers that are capable of withstanding the specified operating ranges.

The temperature chambers produce high temperature and cold temperature environments around the test sample. The highest temperature within the product family is 620°C (1,150°F). The lowest standard temperature within the family is -170°C (-274°F), although solutions have been provided at temperatures as low as -185°C (300°F).

The humidity chambers include high and low temperature environments with added humidity options. Both product lines are configured to requirements so special internal or external sizes are possible. Tensile Tests, compression tests, peel tests, shear tests, flexure tests and fatigue tests are all possible with the correct grips and extensometers.

 These chambers feature multiple options including load frame mounts and slides, upper and lower ports, port inserts, side ports for extensometers, windows, internal lights, and different temperature ranges. Call us for more information or follow the links below.

  • Each configuration includes chamber with heater and forced air convection blower and a temperature control subsystem. Basic configuration provides high temperature testing capabilities.
  • Low temperature control is optional and consumes either carbon dioxide (CO2) or liquid nitrogen (LN2) coolant. If the cooling option is not purchased, the chamber low end controlled temperature is 50°C (120°F). LN2 (liquid nitrogen) is most common coolant.
  • T200 Set point controller included in base package. When the desired temperature is achieved, the temperature controller operates to hold set point values. Programmable controller is optional.
  • Each chamber is application engineered to meet specific load frame column space constraints, fixture and test sample space requirements, and thermal maximum and minimum requirements.
  • Brushed stainless steel exterior and interior shells ensure long term robust and care free usage. Heating and cooling times to reach maximum and minimum temperatures typically less than 30 minutes.
  • When the low temperature option is chosen, the temperature controller includes ability to open the coolant media solenoid valve.
  • The basic package includes a fixed position mounting bracket to place the chamber in the load frame. Other options are available.

C2900 High and Low Temperature Humidity Environmental Chambers are designed for integration and use within the mechanical load frame of test machines. They are used to enable static tension and compression and fatigue testing applications. They are used to simulate end use and to evaluate material properties. TestResources C2900 Chambers are rated from 10% to 90% humidity.
